Applying taxonomy to Discover
Picsart is more than an editing tool for images and videos. Picsart is more than an app or website that lets you remove the background of an image or lets you apply some effects on it. Picart is the platform, both App and website, that helps users to find, create and share with our community the content they need for their personal and professional purposes.
Based on the vision of the company, marketers are one of the target users that we are helping regarding content creation. Marketers are those users who promote an organization’s product or service and/or promote their personal brand. And one of their needs is to easily find the content they are looking for, specifically Templates, so they can get inspired and start their editing. However finding the right content may be difficult and challenging when you have millions and millions of content assets. To achieve it you can come up with several ways of displaying the content and one of those ways and the one we did is to apply taxonomy to the content in order to improve the way how content is discovered and found. In our field taxonomy is the science of naming, describing and classifying content.
Once we applied taxonomy to content, I’m glad to say that we rolled out globally the first milestone of an initiative that satisfies marketers needs. Today Marketers can find very easily within the App and the website templates they need for their work on different topics and categories such as Social media, Marketing, Personal, Printable and Occasion.
Let 's check it out!
